Well, finally I am facing my technological demons and actually writing a blog - LOMAG!! (Like Oh My Actual God - translation)

I thought I'd start telling you a little about my passion for my home county - DERBYSHIRE! The source of my inspiration and  a constant delight, as long as I'm not stuck in a traffic jam.

I'm lucky enough to work and live in an ancient little hamlet in the Derbyshire Dales, 5 minutes drive from Chatsworth House & Haddon Hall, two of the finest houses in the world, and where you'll find me selling my wares this summer and before Christmas.

During the Summer months, from Whitsuntide in May to September, we're famed for our ancient and pagan tradition of Well Dressings, when the wells in many of our beautiful villages are decorated with the most stunning artworks, made completely from natural materials: flower petals, seeds, moss, pebbles, wool. They are truly stunning and exist for just one week.  Fortunately, there are usually excellent cream teas to be had too!
